Она осуществляет постепенное освобождение от количественных ограничений и таможенных границ в торговле между членами четверки. Сходство природных условий, мягкий климат и равнинный рельеф создают хорошие условия для жизни и хозяйственной деятельности людей. Но обилие осадков при небольшой испаряемости способствует заболачиванию земель (от 80% территории в Эстонии до 34% — в Польше).</p>
<p>Экономико-географическое положение стран Центральной и Восточной Европы можно оценить как весьма выгодное.
